About Redemption in the Law
This page introduces Redemption in the Law — our mission, the need we exist to address, and the principles that guide our work.
Who We Are
Redemption in the Law Legal Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals affected by gender-based violence, online harassment, cyberbullying, and digital abuse. We recognize that abuse increasingly occurs through technology, social media, and digital communication platforms. Many victims experience online threats, intimidation, privacy violations, and cyber harassment without knowing how to protect themselves or where to seek help. Our mission is to improve access to advocacy, support, and digital safety resources for vulnerable individuals facing both physical and online harm.
What makes our organization unique is our focus at the intersection of gender-based violence and cybersecurity. We believe effective support systems must address both traditional and digital forms of harm. By integrating digital safety awareness into advocacy and victim support efforts, we aim to contribute to safer communities, stronger support systems, and improved access to justice for individuals affected by abuse online and offline.

Organisational History
Redemption in the Law Legal Foundation was founded in Ghana by Miss Doreen Mensah & Associates in 2019, and was subsequently re-registered in the United States, out of a commitment to advocacy, access to justice, and the protection of individuals affected by gender-based violence.
The organisation emerged from a recognition that vulnerable individuals can face significant barriers when seeking justice and support. As technology became increasingly embedded in everyday life, the organisation’s focus expanded to recognise the growing connection between physical safety and digital safety.
Today, Redemption in the Law works at the intersection of gender-based violence, cybersecurity, online safety, advocacy, and access to justice.
The organisation seeks to use advocacy, education, research, and technology-informed approaches to help address emerging forms of harm while promoting dignity, empowerment, and safer communities.

Who We Serve
Redemption in the Law is committed to supporting individuals and communities affected by gender-based violence, online harassment, cyberbullying, online threats, and other forms of technology-facilitated abuse.
Our work is particularly concerned with people who may experience barriers to information, protection, advocacy, or access to justice.
Our activities may include public education, awareness, digital safety information, advocacy, research, and connecting individuals with appropriate professional or community resources.
We do not replace emergency services, law enforcement, qualified legal professionals, mental-health professionals, or specialist victim-support organisations.
